A Snow squall watch in effect for the listening area.
Environment Canada says snow squalls are expected to develop tonight. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.
The latest indications suggest that 15 cm of snow are possible in the heaviest snow squalls tonight and into Wednesday.
Strong and gusty winds are also expected to result in sudden very low visibility at times in blowing snow.
Environment Canada says hazardous winter driving conditions are expected. Motorists should be prepared to change travel plans accordingly.
