Huntsville Celebrates GIS Day On Wednesday

Huntsville Celebrates GIS Day On Wednesday

Tomorrow from 11am-2pm, the Town of Huntsville is inviting residents to the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) day celebration hosted in Partners Hall from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Founded over 17 years ago, GIS day was dedicated to show how geographic intelligence touches everyone. The explosion of geospatial technology since then has expanded that idea into a global event that demonstrates how far GIS extends into people's lives, and a forum for users to showcase their unique GIS accomplishments.
The Town of Huntsville, along with Local professionals and Ryerson University Students, will be on hand to showcase how GIS technology is used to make a difference in the community. A series of special presentations on the power of technology in understanding the world around us will be presented.
Everyone is invited to the event.
