Clement Hosts Townhall on Proposed Tax Changes Tonight

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP, Tony Clement, will be hosting a townhall session tonight to discuss the proposed tax changes on small businesses by the Federal Government.
At a townhall hosted last week in Parry Sound, Clement said that business owners expressed their concern over the changes, particularly the challenges they will have in transferring businesses to their children. Those who run seasonal businesses also worried about the added pressure in making ends meet in the shoulder seasons.
Clement said that “These businesses will be directly impacted if the Liberals proceed with their double taxation plan, which will translate into a 73% tax grab on small business investment income.”
Clement said the Liberal plan is putting the burden on these small businesses while protecting the extremely wealthy. He added that Finance Minister Bill Morneau`s billion-dollar family business and Prime Minister Trudeau`s personal wealth will be sheltered from these changes.
Clement`s next  townhall meeting on the Government's tax changes is tonight in Bracebridge at the Quality Inn on Ecclestone Dr. starting at 6:30PM
