The Ontario Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca was in Bracebridge yesterday to join local dignitaries in officially launching Bracebridge Transit and Bracebridge Mobility.
Mayor Graydon Smith thanked the Province for investing in the community through the Gas Tax Program. He said their financial support will ensure that public transit is able to thrive in Bracebridge. Smith said “We have already seen how Bracebridge Transit and Bracebridge Mobility services are changing lives in our community. Ongoing support from the Province will enable us to further improve the system to make it even better for users.”
The town purchased its new accessible bus through funding from the provincial gas tax program and support from Metrolinx’s Transit Procurement Initiative.
